RivetSkull will be one of the attractions at Bangers Open Air, a festival that brings together different generations and strands of heavy metal in São Paulo. Formed by experienced musicians and based in Seattle and Los Angeles, the group bets on a sound that preserves the essence of traditional metal, incorporating contemporary elements and its own approach. The band also stands out for the intensity of its live performances, marked by heavy riffs, attitude, and energy.

The current lineup brings together Chad McMurray on vocals, Mark X. Plog on guitar, Johnny Massey on bass, and Michael Robson on drums. The group's influences are rooted in the heavy metal tradition, with references that include names like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Thin Lizzy. At the same time, the musicians seek to build a particular identity, combining heaviness and personality with compositions that go beyond the conventional themes of the genre.

RivetSkull's artistic proposal is also manifested in their lyrics, centered on internal conflicts, life's difficulties, and the ability to overcome. The band itself defines its approach as Heady Metal, an expression that summarizes the combination of musical intensity and reflective content. On June 14, 2024, the group released the album "Absence of Time", a work that represents an important stage in their trajectory and reinforces the identity built from the meeting between metal roots and a contemporary perspective.

With international experience, RivetSkull has already toured countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and the Czech Republic. The band has also accumulated performances alongside artists like Artillery, Freedom Call, and Yngwie Malmsteen, in addition to participating in festivals with Sepultura, Scorpions, Godsmack, and Hatebreed. Their presence at Bangers Open Air expands the group's connection with the Brazilian audience and offers the opportunity to present live their direct and vigorous interpretation of heavy metal.
