MindFlow is one of the most representative names in Brazilian prog metal and is preparing to bring to Bangers Open Air a sound that combines instrumental virtuosity, heaviness, striking melodies, and experimentation. Formed in São Paulo in 2003, the band built a trajectory that crossed national borders, conquering space in the international circuit and a loyal fanbase, connected by the motto "Let Your MindFlow". Their participation in the festival represents yet another chapter in a history marked by artistic boldness and the ability to unite technique and emotion.
MindFlow's discography highlights the group's musical ambition. "Just the Two of Us... Me and Them" (2004) introduced the band's identity to the public, followed by "Mind Over Body" (2006), a work that deepened their conceptual proposal. Subsequently, "Destructive Device" (2008) expanded their international projection, while the 365 project explored a different release format, with the proposal of presenting one song per month over the course of a year. "With Bare Hands" (2011) consolidated different moments of this trajectory. Throughout their career, the group also toured Europe, North America, and Asia, taking Brazilian progressive metal to audiences in different countries.
One of the most curious chapters in MindFlow's history is the relationship between music, technology, and interactive experiences. The band developed digital actions and narrative projects linked to the universe of their albums, including the alternate reality experience "Follow Your Instinct", which invited fans to investigate clues scattered across different platforms. In the gaming universe, the group reached over 36 million plays on Guitar Flash, with 14 songs available in the game, according to records released about their trajectory. The track "Destructive Device" was also part of the Rock Band 3 repertoire, expanding the band's reach beyond the traditional metal audience.
After a period away from the stage, MindFlow began a new phase with performances that reignited the fans' enthusiasm. In May 2026, the band played at Vibra São Paulo, on the same day as Dream Theater's performance, reinforcing their affinity with the prog metal audience. The lineup announced for this stage brings together Danilo Herbert on vocals, Rodrigo Hidalgo on guitars and vocals, Cacá Barros on guitars, Ricardo Winandy on bass, and Rafael Pensado on drums and backing vocals.
At Bangers Open Air 2027, MindFlow will have the opportunity to present to a new generation of fans a body of work that remains relevant due to its combination of complexity, creativity, and its own identity.
