VADER

A legendary name in death metal, the Polish band Vader will return to Brazil for a special performance at Bangers Open Air 2025. With Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek (vocals), Marek “Spider” Pająk (guitar), Tomasz “Hal” Halicki (bass), and Michał Andrzejczyk (drums), will take the stage to deliver a powerful setlist featuring classics from their entire discography, which began with the groundbreaking debut “The Ultimate Incantation” (1992) and continued with the 12th studio album “Solitude in Madness” (2020), which earned critical acclaim.

Back in the early 1980s, Poland was still under the grip of the Iron Curtain, a time of repression and isolation. Yet, within the underground metal scene was thriving. For local bands, it meant facing immense challenges to be recognized outside the country. For many, recording an album seemed like an unattainable dream, but the Polish metal scene began to change. One key moment for Vader was their signing with Earache Records. “We were thrilled to record our first album after a decade, with the support of Earache. For a band like ours, it felt like a dream come true. Bands like Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, and Napalm Death were huge, and suddenly, we were with them,” Peter recalls.

Their current setlist includes iconic tracks like “Dark Age,” “Vicious Circle,” “The Crucified Ones,” “Shock and Awe,” “Blood of Kingu,” “Foetus God,” “Black to the Blind,” “This Is the War,” “Into Oblivion,” “Triumph of Death,” and “Cold Demons.” In a recent interview with Roadie Crew magazine, Peter stated, “I think the best promotion is simply inviting someone to see us live. There, you’ll hear a mix of songs from all decades. It’s the best invitation to experience our empire.”
