The band from Pará, Rhegia, will be one of the attractions at Bangers Open Air, bringing to the festival a sound that combines the heaviness of heavy metal with historical, symbolic, and cultural references from the Brazilian Amazon. Formed in 2017 in Belém (PA), the band—composed of Bianca Palheta (vocals), Amanda Alencar (vocals and cello), Saulo Caraveo (guitar), Naoto Shibata (bass), and Michel Machado (drums)—develops compositions inspired by the folklore and ancestry of Amazonian peoples, building its own identity within the national metal scene.
Their first work, "Shadow Warrior", arrived on digital platforms in 2019, in an independent production that received recognition from the specialized press. In 2023, "The Battle of Deliverance" was released, their second studio album, made possible by the Aldir Blanc Law. The work received positive reviews, achieved national and international repercussion, and was ranked among the 15 best heavy metal albums in Brazil, consolidating the group's musical evolution.
In 2026, the band presented "The Mirror of Light", their third studio album and the final chapter of a conceptual trilogy dedicated to Amazonian culture and ancestry. With nine tracks, the record imagines a dystopian future in which machines and artificial intelligences take control of the Amazon. Recorded in Belém, the album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Guilherme De Siervi, with visual conception by Romulo Dias.
The participation at Bangers Open Air represents another opportunity for Rhegia to expand the visibility of the metal produced in Pará. The band was also one of the highlights of Rock in Rio 2026, playing on the Global Village stage, reinforcing their presence among the prominent names of the national scene. With a proposal that unites heavy music, conceptual narrative, and references to the cultural richness of the Amazon, the group arrives at the festival with an artistic identity that values regional roots and explores contemporary issues, connecting ancestry, nature, and technology.
