The band Madzilla LV is confirmed among the attractions at Bangers Open Air 2027, bringing to the festival an explosive combination of classic thrash metal, cutting riffs, and striking melodies. Formed in 2019, the group from Las Vegas has influences from names such as Megadeth, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, balancing aggressiveness, instrumental precision, and compositions that speak to different generations of heavy metal fans. With over 60 performances in North America, the trio has been expanding its international presence and building a trajectory marked by the intensity of their shows.
Their international projection began to gain strength in February 2020, when the group accompanied Soulfly on a tour of the North American West Coast. In 2021, the band participated in the Warlando Metal Fest, sharing the bill with names such as Judas Priest, Sabaton, and Soulfly. Two years later, the group landed in Latin America alongside Saxon during the "Seize the Day" tour, with performances in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. The experience consolidated their connection with the Latin American audience and paved the way for new international incursions.
The 2024 schedule expanded this reach even further. In the United States, Madzilla LV toured with Go Ahead and Die, led by Max Cavalera, and later accompanied Tarja in performances in Costa Rica and El Salvador. In Europe, they joined Angra's "Cycles of Pain" tour, taking their sound to different audiences across the continent. In May 2025, the group returned to Latin America alongside Tarja, with shows in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Costa Rica. In February 2026, they participated in Living Colour's 40th-anniversary commemorative tour, with performances in Argentina and Brazil.
Among the group's releases are the singles "Vengeance" (2019), "Asphyxiating Cries" (2021), "Warfare Within", and "A Deadly Threat" (both from 2023), as well as "Angel Genocide", released in 2026. The compositions explore themes such as abuse of power, internal conflicts, greed, and injustice, adding social and emotional content to the trio's aggressive sound. At Bangers Open Air 2027, David Cabezas (vocals and guitar), Thomas Palmer (bass and backing vocals), and Courtney Lourenco (drums) will have another opportunity to strengthen their connection with the Brazilian audience.
