Beast In Black will be one of the attractions at Bangers Open Air 2027, reinforcing the festival's international lineup with one of the most prominent names in modern metal. Formed in Helsinki, Finland, the group combines powerful riffs, memorable melodies, danceable energy, and elements inspired by 1980s pop and electronic music, creating a sonic identity that bridges traditional heavy metal with a vibrant, modern approach.
Founded in 2015 by guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen, the band gained international prominence with their debut album, "Berserker" (2017), which earned Platinum certification in Finland. The follow-up album, "From Hell With Love" (2019), repeated this success and established the band as one of European metal's rising forces. During this period, Beast In Black also shared stages with major acts, including Nightwish, alongside embarking on their first headlining tour.
In 2021, they released "Dark Connection," their third studio album, which debuted at number one on the Finnish charts and quickly achieved Gold certification. The band's growth was further reflected in their live shows, leading to headlining tours across Europe, North America, South America, and Japan, averaging 2,500 attendees per show, as well as appearances at major European festivals.
Beast In Black's identity is also marked by a fascination with dark fantasy and science fiction, particularly the manga Berserk. This influence runs throughout the band's career and reached a new milestone in 2025 through a collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment for Diablo IV and Berserk. The partnership produced the single "Enter The Behelit," associated with the game's eighth season, Belial's Return. Prior to this, in 2024, the band released the single "Power Of The Beast," introduced by Kabanen as the group's first "Super Eurobeast" anthem.
With their fourth album scheduled for release in 2026, Beast In Black arrives at Bangers Open Air 2027 at a peak of international visibility. Currently featuring Yannis Papadopoulos (lead vocals), Anton Kabanen and Markus Venehsalo (guitars), Mate Molnar (bass), and Atte Palokangas (drums), the band promises to deliver a festival set filled with the heavy sound, catchy melodies, and high energy that have become their signature.
