GARGANT

Gargant will be one of the attractions at Bangers Open Air, bringing to the festival their combination of traditional heavy metal, hard-hitting riffs, epic melodies, and dark atmospheres. Formed by experienced musicians from the Brazilian scene, the band from Rio de Janeiro has been building its identity based on Dark Power Metal, with compositions that unite heaviness, dramaticity, and references to the sound of the 1990s. The result is a musical proposal that balances aggressiveness and melodic elements, accompanied by a visual identity inspired by dark fantasy.

The group features Guilherme Sevens on vocals, Caio Mendonça and Leandro Carvalho on guitars, Paulo Doc on bass, and Phill Drigues on drums. Although it is a relatively recent project, Gargant has members who have accumulated experience in bands, studios, and live performances, both in Brazil and abroad. This trajectory is reflected in a cohesive sound and in performances that combine instrumental precision, intensity, and stage presence.

Their debut album, "Dead Night Defiance", represents a milestone in Gargant's trajectory. With eight tracks, the work explores themes such as war, rebellion, resistance, and supernatural elements, developed within a narrative universe of dark fantasy. Recorded at Tellus Studios in Rio de Janeiro, the record was produced in partnership with Caio Mendonça, who also signs works linked to names like Onslaught, Ektomorf, and The Troops of Doom. In 2026, the band signed a contract with the German label Fireflash Records for the international release of the album, which also reached the Brazilian market through Shinigami Records.

The repercussion of "Dead Night Defiance" in the specialized press and their performance alongside Edu Falaschi at Circo Voador, in Rio de Janeiro, reinforced the group's presence in the national metal scene. Beyond the music, Gargant develops an integrated artistic concept, in which lyrics, covers, and music videos contribute to expanding the universe created by the band. At Bangers Open Air, the quintet will have the opportunity to present this combination of heaviness, grandiose melodies, and cinematic atmosphere to an audience that celebrates different generations and strands of metal.
