CULTURA TRES

Formed in 2006, in Venezuela, Cultura Tres has built its own identity in heavy music by combining sludge metal, thrash, groove, grunge, and psychedelic influences. Founded by brothers Alejandro Londoño Montoya (vocals and guitar) and Juanma de Ferrari Montoya (guitar), the band has developed a dense and visceral sound, marked by dragging riffs, atmospheric passages, and references to South American cultural roots. The proposal conquered space in the international scene, leading the group to perform in different countries across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

One of the decisive moments in their trajectory happened in 2019, when Paulo Jr., bassist of Sepultura, joined the group. His entry contributed to expanding the heaviness and groove of the compositions, preserving the organic approach that characterizes Cultura Tres. The current lineup also includes Alejandro and Juanma Montoya, as well as Brazilian drummer Henrique Pucci (Noturnall, Escombro, and others). The combination of different experiences and backgrounds reinforces the quartet's international identity, which gathers influences from Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil.

In 2023, the band released "Camino de Brujos", which marked a new stage in their career, with distribution by Universal Music in South America and by Bloodblast in other markets. The work combines the strength of thrash metal with the dark atmosphere of sludge and elements of psychedelic rock, exploring social, political, and spiritual themes. Among the tracks are "The World and Its Lies", "Signs", and "The Land". In 2025, Cultura Tres broadened its horizons even further with "Cien", a collaboration with Colombian singer Juanes that brings metal closer to Latin American folkloric elements and social issues.

Known for the intensity of their performances and a sound that privileges organic execution, Cultura Tres represents a strand of South American metal that unites heaviness, cultural identity, and experimentation. The band has also played at important international festivals, such as Bloodstock Open Air in the United Kingdom and Summer Breeze Open Air in Brazil. In this return, now for Bangers Open Air, the group will offer the audience an experience that goes beyond sonic aggressiveness, incorporating dense atmospheres, striking grooves, and elements that reflect the musical diversity of South America.
