IMMINENCE

Directly from Sweden, Imminence is one of the prominent names of the new generation of European metalcore. Formed in 2010, the band developed its own identity by combining heavy guitars, breakdowns, intense melodies, and violin arrangements. Fronting the group is Eddie Berg, responsible for the vocals and the instrument that has become one of the main trademarks of the quartet's sound, creating a contrast between aggressiveness and highly emotional passages.

Imminence's history began with the partnership between Berg and guitarist Harald Barrett, while still in their adolescence. Over the years, the group has refined its combination of metalcore, symphonic elements, and cinematic atmospheres, gaining ground in the international scene. Albums like "This Is Goodbye" (2017), "Turn the Light On" (2019), and "Heaven in Hiding" (2021) marked different stages of this evolution, with compositions that explore contrasts between delicacy, tension, and explosions of heaviness.

International recognition gained strength with "The Black", released in 2024. The album deepened the band's dark and grandiose approach, bringing together tracks like "Heaven Shall Burn", "Desolation", and "The Black". In 2025, the group released "The Return of The Black", an expanded edition that added new songs, remixes, and special guest appearances. In 2026, Imminence began a new chapter with "Axis Mundi", their sixth studio album, expanding the musical and visual proposal that characterizes the project – "Inveni Axis Mundi" (from Latin, "I found the Axis of the World") is the motto used by the band to celebrate the release.

Also known for the strength of their live performances, Imminence combines intense interpretation, a striking visual identity, and arrangements that bring metalcore closer to orchestral music. The presence of the violin, integrated with the power of the guitars and the shifts between melodic and guttural vocals, sets the group apart within the contemporary scene. At Bangers Open Air 2027, the band represents the modern strand of metal, showing how the genre can incorporate new textures and atmospheres without letting go of its aggressiveness.
