In 2027, Soilwork will land in Brazil as one of the attractions at Bangers Open Air, bringing to the festival all the experience accumulated over more than three decades of career and a setlist that spans different phases of their trajectory. The performance will be an opportunity for the Brazilian audience to reconnect with classics that helped consolidate the band's name as one of the main forces of melodic death metal to emerge from the 1990s Swedish scene.

Formed in 1995 in Helsingborg, Sweden, the group built an identity marked by the balance between heaviness, aggressiveness, technique, and striking melodies, becoming an international benchmark for melodic death metal. Soilwork currently features vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid, guitarists Sylvain Coudret and Simon Johansson, bassist Rasmus Ehrnborn, drummer Bastian Thusgaard, and keyboardist Sven Karlsson. The band is now working on the follow-up to "Övergivenheten" (2022).

Originally named Inferior Breed, the group adopted the name Soilwork in 1996 and began developing a sound that combined the aggressiveness of death metal with melodic elements and influences from European heavy metal. Their debut album, "Steelbath Suicide" (1998), kicked off a trajectory marked by constant evolution and international recognition. Their rise came in the early 2000s, especially with "A Predator's Portrait" (2001) and "Natural Born Chaos" (2002). The band expanded its international footprint through extensive tours across Europe, the US, Japan, and Australia, sharing stages with acts like In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Children of Bodom, Killswitch Engage, Anthrax, and Cannibal Corpse. In 2005, "Stabbing the Drama" further solidified their profile, reaching notable chart positions in Sweden, Finland, and the US.

Over the following decades, Soilwork continued expanding its identity without abandoning the mix of heaviness and melody. "The Living Infinite" (2013)—the first double album of their career—"The Ride Majestic" (2015), "Verkligheten" (2019), and the EP "A Whisp of the Atlantic" (2020) showcased different facets of the band, while "Övergivenheten" (2022) arrived with the approach of sounding as organic as possible.
