CARRO BOMBA
The band from São Paulo Carro Bomba was formed in 2004 with a sound inspired by the classic style of authentic 1970s power trios. At the time, the lineup consisted of Marcello Schevano (guitar/vocals – Patrulha do Espaço, Som Nosso de Cada Dia, Golpe de Estado, ex-Casa das Máquinas), the only active member in the current formation, Fabrizio Micheloni (bass/vocals), and Ricardo Bonx (drums/vocals). The band released two albums in the Power trio shape: Carro Bomba (2004) and Segundo Atentado (2006).

CARRO BOMBA
In 2007, the band went through drastic lineup and the sound changes with the inclusion of Rogério Fernandes (vocals, ex-Golpe de Estado) and Fernando Minchillo (drums), who debuted on Nervoso (2009). On this album, the band began blending styles that fused 70s hard rock, metal, and thrash, which was later coined by critics as “thrash and roll.” Carcaça (2011), which marked the arrival of Heitor Shewchenko (drums), and Pragas Urbanas (2014) followed. Their sound reached its heaviest point with the addition of bassist Ricardo “Soneca” Schevano (Baranga).
During the Pragas Urbanas tour, the live DVD A Máquina Não Para (2016) was recorded, which was well received by their loyal audience and marked their first official video release. After the Pragas Urbanas tour, the band took a new sonic direction. Biel Astolfi (drums and vocals) joined the team to bring back the sounds and ideas of 1970s prog rock, combining them with the band’s already established identity, adding fresh elements and new paths. This current lineup recorded Compactado (2020), Migalhas (2022), and Esmigalhando Ao Vivo (2024).
After 20 years of existence, six studio albums, and extensive touring through the underground rock circuit in Brazil and Latin America, Carro Bomba is in great shape in 2024, promoting their live tour for the new album Esmigalhando Ao Vivo.
